School trips are viewed as a powerful and positive teaching tool and they form an integral part of our education at St John’s providing unique opportunities for kinesthetic learning – learning by doing.

Learning outside the classroom is rewarding for teachers and pupils alike, discovering new places like museums, churches or galleries undoubtedly adds extra depth to children’s learning experience.

We aim to keep the cost of all school trips to a minimum. If any parents have trouble finding the funds to pay for a school trip, please get in touch with us.

Residentials are more than just a fun trip away from school, they are a key part of the National Curriculum. The diverse and high quality residential trips that are now on offer means that we can create experiences which enhance children’s classroom learning, adding opportunities pupils may not otherwise have. Residential visits are considered extremely beneficial for children. The Governors and Leadership team at St John’s are appreciative of the willingness of staff to organise and attend residentials.

We aim to keep the cost of our residentials to a minimum and we do allow payments by instalments to help spread the cost.
