School Council

School Council are a group of children from year 3 to year 6. We have two representatives from each class, a boy and a girl, who are elected on a yearly basis to represent their peers.

The council meets regularly to discuss issues which are relevant to our school. They represent views of our children, conduct surveys and meet with the Head Teacher, Senior Leadership team, Teachers and Governors.

It is important for us, as a school, to listen to the views of our pupils and take on board areas in which they believe we can improve. The views and opinions of all children matter to us.

When necessary they keep detailed minutes of each meeting and liaise with Miss Jones and other adults in the school community.

Huge thank you to Stocksbridge Town Council for giving up their time today to host a meeting with our current School Council Members. Whilst there, they met The Mayor, Cllr Mark Whittaker and had the opportunity to ask him questions.
